Welcome to our wedding website! Since this isn’t your run-of-the-mill wedding, we decided a website is the best way to explain the wedding plans to all our guests.
The wedding will be at the Piersol Group Camp at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park in Millington, TN. It’s just north of Memphis. The site has 136 beds in 4 dorms, with twin size mattresses, and heated showers, plus a large dining hall.
We’ve reserved the site Thursday, November 8 through Monday, November 12. Thursday and Friday will be setup and decorating. Sunday and Monday will be cleanup. If you're interested in helping clean up on Monday, please let Nancy or Trent know.
Guests are encouraged to come out to either hang out or help before the wedding. Friday night we’re having a 50th birthday party for the Matron of Honor. Saturday there will be activities during the day, as well as last-minute preparations for the ceremony and reception.
The ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018. With a reception to follow, of course! It's a Doctor Who themed wedding -- in case you hadn't guessed! Dress will be whatever you want. Cosplay is encouraged! If you had a great Halloween costume, bust it out one last time before you put it away for a year!
If you choose to stay in a hotel instead of in a dorm room at the site, we would suggest looking for hotels in Millington, TN. It's closer than Memphis to the campsite.
After you read all of the info on this site, please RSVP on our site at http://campbontly.rsvpify.com and answer all the questions so that we can keep track of who is coming when and how many people we need to feed on the other days!
We met in March of 2016 when Trent accidentally friended Nancy on Facebook. We started talking and found we had quite a lot in common and both had daughters that were into the same things.
Two months later Nancy needed help moving a trailer to a weekend event, and Trent volunteered. Nancy got sick and was throwing up the morning they were supposed to go. Trent showed up and saved the day. We've been pretty much inseparable since.
For a long time we were just best friends. We spent most of our time together going on adventures with our girls and just hanging out. And then something changed. It became more than just best friends. And so here we are getting married!
We both have little girls. Trent's daughter Amelia is 7 and Nancy's daughter Mairead is 9. They already act like sisters. And we've gone on countless adventures already!!
A Note About the Location from Nancy: This campground is one of my most favorite places on Earth. For the past 20 years I've been attending or organizing 3 events here every year. To me, it is the center of our community. I am honored to be able to have my biological family and my new family together with our Memphis family in this place that is so sacred to me. Next year I will have been coming here literally half of my life, so I have to say that I've also grown up here.
It is also the place where Trent and I had our "second date." (Generally I'd refer to it as "the date after the initial interview.") So it makes it even more special.
A few things you should know about the park:
CELL PHONE SERVICE IS VERY SPOTTY. TEXT MESSAGES WILL INTERMITTENTLY GET THROUGH, BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO DRIVE OFFSITE TO MAKE PHONE CALLS.
This also means practically no internet. There is a land line phone in the back
of the dining hall for emergencies.
Each dorm has 4 large rooms with 4 upper bunks and 4 lower bunks each, plus a small room with one upper and one lower bunk. Each dorm also has an attached bathroom with heated showers and a deck area.
If you're coming from out of town, let us know and we'll supply bed sheets, pillows, blankets and towels for you. If you are coming from in town, we ask you bring them with you. Please respond to the questions on the RSVP site so we can be prepared.
If the weather is going to be cold, we will have heaters in each dorm room. In Memphis in November, it's generally mid-60s, however there's plenty of chance for cold weather. The historic average for that weekend is a high of 65.
About the Dorms
There are 4 dorms and a main dining hall. There are walkways between all of the dorms.
Dorm A will be for our older family members. It is closest to the dining hall and has a very easy walk.
Dorm B is for families with kids and our teenagers. It's a bit of a longer walk, but it's still close to the dining hall.
Dorm C is our staff dorm. The bride and groom will be sleeping there, along with our closest friends. We ask that no one under 18 be allowed in this area.
Dorm D is our party dorm. It's for those people who plan to stay up extra late and party all night.

We'd love to see everyone's pictures from the wedding!!
A great way to do that is through an app called EverSnap. You can download it from your phone store, install and use the album code campbontly to be able to add to our digital wedding album! One of the best things about this app is that since there is very little to no cell phone service at the park, it will hold the pictures until you reach signal to upload them. You can start an account at http://www.geteversnap.com/ if you'd like, but I don't think you need to have an account to share pictures to the campbontly album.
If you're sharing on Facebook or any of those places, please use the hashtag #campbontly so we cal all see everyone's pictures from there as well.
